THE BEAUTY OF MY HOMETOWN "LILOAN"

                                                               "ABANTE LILOAN"

                     One of the common phrases you could hear from the people of LILOAN....

      My hometown is located at the north in between the town of  Consolacion and Compostela. Liloan is derived from the word  of "LILO" whirling waters (lilo sa dagat) because of this , the town was known  LILOAN, a place where there is lilo. It consists of 14 barangays and about thousands of people living there.

  Speaking with the beautiful spots, LILOAN has its own beauty that I could be proud of. Over hundreds of beaches, where you could relax from a very tiring week of working with the fascinating views that would ease the pain living in your heart.

      The lighthouse(known as parola in our place) ione of the best known landmarks of Liloan is its historic lighthouse at the Bagacay Point. The original ligthouse was built in 1857 by tthe Spanish. However the current tower was constructed in 1904 and its more 107 yrs. old. The tower is 72 feet tall and remains active use today. It would really captures your eyes because of the very breathtaking views especially when you are in  the top of it.You could see the whole parts of Liloan.We celebrated PAROLA FESTIVAL  every month of April. Varieties of cultural dances you will be witnessed.

   
 PAPAKITS (marina and fishing lagoon) one of the favorite tourists spots of the Caucasians because of the 800 meters zipline,you will float above the sea with affordable fees. You could catch fish and grill it after.

 San Fernando Rey Parish of Liloan was constructed in 1847.One unusual detail about 

our Church in Liloan is that it faces the mountains

to the West, whereas most 

churches face the sea to the East.

          Easy to go in our town and you will be enjoyed in staying our place because people are very hospitable.
